Every year on 8 March, International Women’s Day celebrates the achievement of women around the world. This year’s theme is #BreakTheBias encouraging gender equality and creating an inclusive and diverse world.
This International Women's Day, we're celebrating the women of Laser Clinics. Next up, we have Jacinta Needham. There is nothing this woman loves more than family. Both her own and her Laser Clinics family. Jacinta is a Clinic Owner from Laser Clinics St Lukes.
Which powerful woman do you admire most?
My family: mother, sister, sister in law and grandmothers, they have all played a part in me getting to where I am today.
Why do you love your career?
It makes your day when you can see you have helped someone gain confidence. Surrounded by a fantastic team of therapists whose job it is to make people feel better about themselves, how can you not love this career?
What did you dream of doing when you were younger?
I always dreamt of travelling the world and I was lucky enough to tick off visiting every continent by the age of 30. Goal two was owning my own business. I may not have known that business was going to be in aesthetics when I was younger, but I’m so glad that’s how it turned out.
Next up, we have the incredibly driven Vanessa Jetson who is the manager at Laser Clinics Featherston.
Why do you think it's important to celebrate International Women's Day?
So that younger generations can see women supporting women, and show that with strength, determination and believing in yourself you can achieve your career or life goals.
What did you dream of doing when you were younger?
When I was younger I had many dream jobs, my young self wanted to be a builder, farmer, police women, nurse, teacher and a care worker. I wanted to help people but I just wasn't too sure for me what that looked like.
What does the idea of #BreakTheBias mean to you?
It means getting to a point where being different is not a bad thing- "Standing out" instead of "fitting in" is celebrated and being unique is a wonderful thing.
At Laser Clinics New Zealand, we celebrate all women and support their unique goals in life. With all the stereotypes and challenges women face, we understand that sometimes they need a little help in feeling confident in their own skin. We want to empower them and give them aesthetic solutions tailored to their goals.
Here are some of our professional skin treatments to help boost your confidence:
Laser Hair Removal
If you’re tired of removing unwanted hair by shaving or waxing, which damages your skin, this permanent hair removal treatment provides a safer alternative. At Laser Clinics, we use medical-grade laser technology to get rid of unwanted hair effectively and is safe for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
This cost-effective skin treatment helps you to feel confident and enjoy freedom from your unwanted hair in the face, underarms, and other areas of your body.
Anti-wrinkle Injections
Wrinkles are a natural part of the skin ageing process. With age, the skin loses elasticity which causes fine lines, wrinkles, and creases. It’s definitely reasonable if you want to address these skin changes to maintain a youthful appearance.
Our Anti-Wrinkle Injectables help reduce and prevent the formation of wrinkles. This non-invasive treatment relaxes the muscles and softens fine lines, reducing the visibility of wrinkles.
Cosmetic Grade Peels
Every woman has unique goals and skin concerns they want to address, including age spots, freckles, large pores, acne scars, or other skin discolouration. Our professional Cosmetic Grade Peels provide safe chemical solutions to target these concerns. The peel penetrates into the layers of the skin that helps repair and polish your skin.
Everyone, including women, have the freedom to choose the way they look and improve themselves. There’s nothing wrong if you want to boost your confidence by taking care of your skin and enhancing your appearance. At Laser Clinics New Zealand, we tailor a skin treatment plan based on your specific skin concerns and goals. Schedule an appointment today.
